Douglass Team Shines in 2026 Personal Finance Challenge

A team from Frederick Douglass High School finished in the Top 6 of the 2026 Kentucky Personal Finance Challenge, which drew over 1,300 students. Justice Beall, Ulises Rodriguez Puertos, Steven Salomon, and Andrew Stamper impressed the judges with their innovative financial plan, professionalism, and strong teamwork. 

Northern Kentucky University’s Center for Economic Education in the Haile College of Business hosted the third annual state contest. The top high school teams from across the Commonwealth stepped into the role of financial advisers as they competed April 24. The Kentucky Personal Finance Challenge helps empower students with real-world skills that will serve them for life.
